Michael Miro
Founder, Principal

Michael is the founder and principal operator of Shorepath Consulting, a boutique consulting firm that works with nonprofits, associations, and businesses across a wide range of industries. Michael specializes in strategic planning, board development, retreat facilitation, and creative problem-solving. He is passionate about helping his clients find innovative solutions to their pressing challenges.

Michael has an extensive background in the nonprofit/local government sector and has also been involved with a variety of start-ups and small businesses across various sectors. He excels at using different perspectives and tools to forge connections, prioritize goals, and strengthen processes and procedures. As a facilitator and coach, he builds strong relationships with clients through active listening and a personable nature. He is unafraid to challenge constructively and ask the difficult questions while providing strategic oversight to ensure accountability around the client’s vision.

Michael’s recent consulting engagements have spanned across various industries, including healthcare service providers, small business incubators, food manufacturing and distribution, community foundations, advocacy organizations, and leadership development. He has an M.A. in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and a certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. He is also a certified FourSight facilitator. At the local level, Michael serves as board president of two organizations, the Ridgeville Foundation and Lending for Evanston and Northwestern Development (LEND); he also served two terms on the Housing and Community Development Act Committee for the City of Evanston.

Jessica Miro
Associate

Jessica is a licensed clinical therapist that specializes in working with family business relationships and mediating conflicts that arise in workplace environments. She uses a systemic and strengths-based approach in working with clients to improve relationships and ensure accountability.

Jessica received her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. She is the owner and founder of Pinnacle Counseling, a group therapy practice with two Chicago area locations. She also served as a group supervising faculty member at Northwestern University's Family Institute for seven years.
